Now, let me ask you this…
If you spent the next 3 years promoting an opportunity or company trying to make a few sales and build a team and then you fell out of love with the company, or had an argument with your upline, sideline or downline… or god forbid, something happened to your company…
What would you be left with?
Well… the answer to that depends on how you built your business in the first place.
Here are TWO (2) ways to build…
Way #1 – Opportunity / Product Focused:
You post about your products and opportunity a lot on social media, you invite people directly to join your program in DM’s and you become a CLONE of your company, blending in with the tens of of thousands of other reps online.
Your entire focus is “getting somebody in” or trying to persuade them until they buy.
You have a scattergun approach where you think that everybody is your prospect.
You get a lot of “No’s”, and “Maybe’s…
But most people ignore you.
They tune out your content and messages because it’s not relevant to them.
After a while of doing this you get so fed up with not getting any results that you jump ship.
You join another opportunity that’s more exciting… something you think has a “better system” and better team.
And you repeat the cycle again…
And again…
…and again.
Getting the same results.
Bouncing from shiny object to shiny object.
And then wonder why you’re not successful
Now, let’s just take a slightly different scenario where instead of bouncing around… you are the type of person to stick with the same opportunity and company… and you repeat the same process over and over again… and eventually you start getting some sales and sign ups!
So you keep going…
You speak to more and more people…
You get a lots of “no’s”… and you get ignored by many…
But some people say “yes” and join you
It’s a numbers game…
But it’s demoralising and boring… promote, promote, push, push, invite, invite, repeat, repeat!
Yes you might be making some sales, building a team and making a bit of money…
But you’re building your business on SAND.
With ZERO foundations!
And at some point… more than likely it’s going to all come crashing down.
You might fall out of love with your company, or have an argument with your upline, sideline or downline… or something might happen to your company…
And if you built this way… then you have to start over from scratch again!
Way #2 – Attract People With The Brand Of You:
So, if you look at most successful marketers online…
Most of them STAND OUT. They are different to everybody else.
They are unique and add value to the market place.
They’ve built a serious business that isn’t just dependant on their opportunity or company.
The know exactly who their perfect audience is.
They know their pains, problems, challenges, goals, desires and aspirations.
Their audience sees them as a TRUSTED ADVISOR and NOT just a pesky sales person.
They create VALUE…
Their content ATTRACTS…
Their message INSPIRES…
Their offer is IRRESISTIBLE!
They PROMOTE themselves first.
And as a result… they have an audience of people who know, like and trust them
And most people don’t know what their opportunity is without really digging in to find out…
Yet they have bigger teams than most people…
The make 6 and 7 figures in income!
They have a SOLID and STABLE business…
With strong foundations.
If they fell out of love with their company, or had an argument with their upline, sideline or downline… or something happened to their company…
They wouldn’t have to start over from scratch…
They’d just continue with their existing brand… and switch up their opportunity on the backend.
Which Way Will You Choose?
It really doesn’t matter which way you’ve been doing things up until now…
What matters is the decision you make now.
It could totally change your results.
So, which way will you choose?
The opportunity / product focused way… or the attraction marketing way?
No doubt the attraction marketing way is going to take more time, effort and energy to set up to begin with… but once it’s set up and you have things in place, you will NEVER have to worry again…
You’ll be much more focused, have much more time and much more leverage…
You’ll have a stable business…
And so much more time freedom as a result
Really think about this.
Great information and so true. Sometime building yourself up on Social media can be scary but it’s what gets you the best results.
Absolutely, And unfortunately a lot of NWM companies and established uplines who’ve used method #1 to build their business don’t see this, and continue to try to duplicate their methods in a one size fits all approach, trying to train people to just grit heir teeth and “keep going” and having a thick skin. I know of one team who even called themselves “the rhino group”.
One of the companies I’m involved with does have a more person centred approach, encouraging people to be individuals and believe in themselves, and does seem to have a higher activation and retention rate than other NWM companies, and I don’t think that’s just a coincidence!
